Back and Neck Pain and Headaches
Back pain, especially pain in the lower back, is a serious problem that impacts more than 80 percent of Americans at some point in their lives.
However, because it is often the result of short-term stress on the muscles and ligaments that support the spine, it can often be effectively treated, allowing those suffering to recover and return to their active lifestyles without medications or surgery.
Neck pain and headaches can result from poor posture, muscle strain or certain degenerative diseases, or from injuries such as whiplash.
Our hands-on manual therapy approach is effective in treating back pain, neck pain and headaches, especially when it is accompanied by individualized corrective exercises.
Soft Tissue Work
We are trained to evaluate and treat abnormal tension from head to toe throughout your body. This tension can be felt in general ways such as muscle tightness that doesn’t change with stretching, joint stiffness, sore and tender areas, all over pain, and fatigue.
Sometimes this tension manifests itself in specific ways such as headaches, migraines, neck or back pain, joint pain, or abdominal pain.
Soft tissue work is effective not just for sprains and strains but for issues that impact more than one body part and for conditions that change the body’s normal behavior including fibromyalgia.
